‘Mind Reading’ Is Inevitable Using Intelligent Computer Technology

We, human beings have a very typical nature to know the intention, thoughts, and motives of the person standing next to us. We are always curious to discover the reasons behind someone’s activity. We wish if we could read one’s mind. But is it really possible to read minds? Can ‘Mind Reading’ ever become a reality? The answer is ‘Yes’. You must be wondering ‘how’? In this technological era anything can happen.

With the encroachment of technology, it is not too far that we’ll be able to form a clear picture of another person’s imagination and creativity. Technology is progressing towards a huge transition from merely data manipulation to detecting your thoughts. Intent of computer technology is rapidly rolling to make the world beautiful for many disabled persons who can rarely communicate their thoughts for any undesirable reasons.

Decipher your dreams and memories onto screen

Technology is now capable of decoding dreams and memories onto screen by monitoring the brain activity of people. Scholars from University of California, Berkeley monitored blood flow in people’s brain using MRI scanner while they were watching movies like Pink Panther 2 and Madagascar 2 unfold onto screen. After thorough analysis of the response of the brain’s visual centre to on-screen movements, a computer programme was created by the scholars which could accurately predict what the subject was looking at.

Hear the Unspoken Words

We often feel helpless when we are not able to understand what a person who is dumb or suffering from paralysis or brain damage trying to speak. They also get frustrated for not able to communicate their response. But technology is on the process to narrow down the problem.

A study named quite remarkable by prominent American researchers from the University of California revealed that they are capable to ‘decipher’ unsaid words that are going on inside the person’s mind.

Scientists are now competent to ‘predict’ an unspoken word from a person’s mind, very similar to mind reading, decoding it from electronic brain waves and picking out using modern, intelligent computer technology.

"This is huge for patients who have damage to their speech mechanisms because of a stroke or Lou Gehrig's disease and can't speak," says Professor Robert Knight, one of the researchers from the study. "If you could eventually reconstruct imagined conversations from brain activity, thousands of people could benefit."
Control Different Actions Using Your Thoughts

Now you can direct any specific actions using your imaginative thoughts. Christoph Hintermüller of the Project Management and Research team, g.tec Guger Technologies developed a brain-computer interfaces which can read the mind and enables you to direct different programmes and devices using your thoughts despite of using your hands.

“A brain-computer interface captures various electrical impulses from the head of the user, and decodes them into specific tasks and actions,” said Christoph Hintermüller.
It is an undeniable fact that computer technology has made this earth a better place to live in. It has not only resolved our day to day miseries but also turns impossible to impeccably possible. Youth of this generation are so much indulged with technology that they are more likely to pursue their career related to this field.

Whilst the world is getting so advanced with technology, why will you lag behind? If you are creative enough and want to do something unique in this tech-world, pursue a HND (Higher National Diplomas) or degree Top-ups in Computing and Media from an well accredited UK University which can help you to get an extra mileage to prosper in your career.
